FEIF-Youth-Cup is a bi-annual event for young Icelandic horse riders aged 14 to 17. It is a one week event aimed at making friends across cultures and borders. In 2012, the FEIF-Youth-Cup is hosted in Verden, Germany from the 7th to the 14th of July. Verden is a city with a vibrant equine history: It's the home of the Hanoverian horse.

The farm Sunnaholt in Germany, Bavaria is now the new owner of the great stallion Korgur frá Ingólfshvoli together with Artemisia Bertus. The 4 gaited stallion came on the second place after Spuni in the class 5 year old stallions at Landsmót 2011. His father is the Safir son Leiknir frá Vakurstöðum.

A HORRIFIC fall from a horse left a woman with such a severely broken neck she was forced to pick up her own head. Thea Maxfield, who runs a stud farm in Oxfordshire, England, suffered a "hangman's break" a clean break of the upper cervical vertebra when she fell from her dressage horse.
