The weather forecast looks good, nothing is in the way for the second tournament of Meistaradeild which starts tonight at 19.30 o'clock (icelandic time).

 

The first tournament, 4 gait had to be postponed because of pretty wild weather conditions. It was held last Thursday.
Today is Gæðingafimi, a mix of dressage and an expressive presentation of the gaits, a very difficult exercise.

The winner of 4 Gait last week Artemisia Bertus will strat with the only 6 year old stallion Korgur frá Ingólfshvoli. The farm Sunnaholt in Bavaria had recently become the new owner of this magnificent stallion together with Artemisia.
The 4 gaited Leiknir frá Vakurstöðum son came on second place in at Landsmót 2011 after Spuni in the class of 5-year-old stallions (8.39 for confirmation and 8.42 for his riding abilities (4-gaited!) with 9.5 for beauty under rider and canter and 9.0 for all other points). The farm Sunnaholt is also the owner of the stallion Óskar frá Blesastöðum, the winner of last week.
The ride of Sara Ástþórsdóttir and her outstanding mare Díva is also going to be very interesting.  Díva received this year two tens at a breeding show (Tölt and spirit).
Þorvaldur will show Segull frá Flugumýri II again very harmoniously,  this team made second place last week.
Hulda will start again with Sveigur frá Varmadal which impressed last week with his expressive fast Tölt.
And many more great pairings will compete tonight, it is going to be again very exciting!
